Busy Weeks - A Little Time Off

So much has been going on here - nothing exciting, unfortunately, just lots of little things - that I've been really bad about blogging. Today is going to be another crazy busy day, but hopefully I'll have some time to write tomorrow, that is if I can tear myself away from my most recent book obsession, Outlander (thanks for the recommendation, Erin :o) . If you haven't yet, click here to enter my Off! Clip On and Off! Lamp giveaway. It ends soon!!

Bzzzz Agent: Product Review and Giveaway: Off! Clip on and Off! Power Pad

Bzzzz Agent sent me an Off! Power Pad Lamp and Off! Clip On to try so that I could review them. The Off! Power Pad Lamp works by placing the attractive "lamp" on a table or any other flat surface. The heat activated repellent pad is said to protect a 15X15 foot area and offer the same protection as 15 citronella candles. These lamps are convenient for summer activities like a cookout, back yard swimming or other water activities and also for camping as well as many other activities. The Off! Clip On is in my opinion an unique product. You wear the little battery operated fan with refillable pad clipped to your belt (or you can set it on a table near you) and it protects you from mosquitoes for up to 12 hours. I like the idea of not needing to spray bug spray on my kids to keep mosquitoes at bay.

I will be giving away one Off! Power Pad Lamp to one blog reader and one Off! Clip On to another blog readers. There are several ways you can be entered into the random drawing. 1. Leave a comment on this post. 2. Subscribe to this blog then leave a second comment telling me that you are a subscriber. If you already subscribe be sure to comment, too. 3. Spread the word about this giveaway by blogging, twitter or telling your friends, then leave a third comment letting me know you've spread the word.

I will choose two random numbers and award the corresponding commentors with either the Power Pad Lamp or Clip On. Since these items are somewhat large and will require significant postage, I am going to limit participation to United States residents. I will close the comments to this post and choose the winners on Friday, July 24 at 6:00 pm central time. Good luck!! :)

ETA: I finally got to the post office today. Winners, your Users Guides are on the way :o)

GIVEAWAY: The Laptop Lunches Users Guide book

About a month ago, I wrote this post about our Laptop Lunches bento boxes. We still love our boxes and use them any time we'll be away from home at lunch or supper time. And as an added bonus, we've kept at least 200 sandwich bags out of our landfill so far.

In addition to the boxes, we also love the user's guide put out by the owners of the company. Its called The Laptop Lunch User's Guide: Fresh ideas for making wholesome, Earth-friendly Lunches your Kids will Love. This little guide is a gold mine of great ideas for making healthy lunches for your family. I've used their recipes and ideas not only for the kids and I, but also for my husband's lunch, which he takes to work every day. And while the ideas in the book fit nicely with the Laptop Lunches bento style boxes, they can be used even if you don't yet have a Laptop Lunches system.

So . . . I will be giving away 3 Laptop Lunches User's Guides to three lucky winners on Thursday, May 28th at 12:00 noon central time. You can enter 3 different ways. First, leave a comment on this post. Second, subscribe to my blog, then leave a separate comment telling me you subscribed (or that you already subscribe) and third, you can blog about this giveaway and then leave a comment linking to your post. If you don't have a blog, tell your friends about the giveaway then leave a comment telling me you referred friends. We'll count that, too :o) Be sure to leave separate comments, as that will increase your chances in the drawing (random number).

We have a winner!

Congratulations to commentor #4, Wendy! You won Fairy Cooking and Pirate Things to Make and Do! Please check your email and reply with your mailing address so that I can get your prize out to you! Thanks to all who participated - this was fun and I plan to do it again in a few weeks, so check back often.

Bloggy Giveaway

Its time for a fun bloggy giveaway! On Monday morning, I will draw a name from all of the comments left on this post and one lucky winner will receive the books Pirate Things to Make and Do and Fairy Cooking. These books are filled with fun activities and crafty ideas to beat summertime boredom.

So, here are the rules. Visit my Usborne Website and have a look around. Post a comment below (be sure to comment on this post) telling the name of at least one book that caught your eye. On Monday morning, I will choose a winner and post the winner's name here on my blog.

There is also another chance to win books. All orders placed through the "Bloggy Giveaway" e-show link on my website will be entered into a drawing to win the hostess benefits from that e-show! You could win from $15 to $100+ in free books of your choice (based on the sales of the e-show). Be sure to place your order by Sunday evening - the show closes Sunday at midnight.

Be sure to tell your friends. If we have more than 50 comments (by 50 different people), I'll draw a second winner, as well. And the same goes for the e-show. If we have more than $400 in orders, I'll choose 2 winners! Now, go on - spread the word :o)
